I am a Trustee of Chancepixies Animal Rescue and we are holding a Dog Fun Day on 29th August 2010 at their kennels in West Hougham, Dover, Kent with pedigree, novelty and obedience classes plus lots of other events and stalls.
For those people who cannot get to the venue but would like to support their aims we are hosting a photography competition with Prints of your images and Pets at Home vouchers for the winners.
For details of the classes and how to enter please visit our competition page at the Chancepixies Animal Rescue website
This is one of their rescues who is currently looking for a good home enjoying herself in the exercise paddock – if you are thinking of getting a dog please consider these kennels as the dogs deserve good homes where they do not have to spend the majority of their time shut in a kennel and run but can play like this more often.

Friday, 11th June saw the great Snooker player Jimmy White appear at Etchingham Sports and Social Club. Frames were auctioned and raffled off ( I did not win one so did not get a chance to be totally humiliated ) but I did get some pictures of this fantastic player

I visited Chancepixies Animal Rescue yesterday and met two delightful little characters who are looking for people to give them a secure and loving home. Chancepixies takes in those dogs from kennels that have a destruct policy and these dogs, and many others, were going to be killed because no one had wanted or claimed them during their time at the original kennels.
The agility tunnel was new to them but I think they enjoyed it
Going In!
I can go Over as well!
This IS such Fun
I can do the tunnel as well
I look soooo good next to the daffodils
This is the boy I took on as a rehome from them a few months ago enjoying his walk

I bought a cookie maker from Pampered Chef recently and this is a great little device providing you have the mixture at just the right consistency which I did the first time I used it, the second time I didn’t and by the time I had it right I had twice as much as I originally started with – still they taste great. Here are a few of the available shapes you can create:
Chocolately Biscuits just out of oven
Chocolate Biscuits plus some fruit and oat cookies
Thanks to all the work by photographers opposing this – Clause 43 regarding the so called “orphan works” – that are usually nothing of the sort – was dropped. Everyone who puts their pictures on the internet or anywhere else should be thankful for this.
This is something ALL photographers and EVERYONE who puts images on the internet should do something about NOW.
Our government is likely to push this Bill though this week without a proper consultation period see The 38Degrees and the Stop43.org.uk sites for more details and what you can do to help – today!
A couple of people I photographed earlier in the year have asked me how the project is going. Sadly it fizzled out due to lack of interest, I had articles in the Broadsheet and notices scattered around the village but much to my disappointment the response was nil so in spite of all the work I put into this early in the year it came to nothing.
However, if there is interest I could always start it again for 2010 as this is a much rounder figure – and would look better on the front of the book

Maverick had to be put to sleep in June as a result of lymphoma, she was a wonderful girl, very photogenic and loved the camera. This shot, taken a few years ago has always been my favourite photograph of her.
For some reason it has also been the most “illegally” used image around the web as well. If anyone spots this on any forums or photo-sharing sites it should not be there and I would be grateful if you would let me know.
Today I went to Brightling Polo Club where I was the main photographer for the day, I have put most of the pictures in the Events section but thought you might like to see what some of the ponies get up to when they are relaxing
